What we do

Useful technology for the work that matters.

From your first EMR configuration to a new digital product, we help connect operational needs to reliable technology.

EMR setup & optimization

Workflow mapping, configuration support, templates, documentation processes, and team onboarding, informed by direct NextGen EHR experience.

Practical AI integration

Identify safe, useful AI opportunities for administrative work, knowledge access, patient communication, and internal workflows.

Practice operations

Simplify scheduling, documentation, handoffs, reporting, and the everyday processes that slow a clinical team down.

Custom software

Web and mobile products, internal tools, dashboards, integrations, and cloud backends built around your actual use case.

Technology guidance

Vendor evaluation, system planning, implementation roadmaps, and hands-on support for health teams making technology decisions.

Data & automation

Connect tools and reduce repetitive work with thoughtful automations, reporting, and data flows your team can understand.

Our approach

Start with the workflow. Build what helps.

Good technology should fit the people using it. We begin by understanding how your practice runs, then focus on the changes that can make the clearest difference.

About us

Built by people who know the clinic and the code.

California Tech Center is led by Alen Yaco and a team of collaborators. Alen's work spans hospice support, medical scribing, vascular practice management, and building health technology from the ground up.

At a Laguna Woods vascular practice, he managed front and back office work, scheduling, surgical documentation, team training, and NextGen EHR workflows. He later founded ROID, an AI-powered health and fitness platform built across mobile, web, and cloud systems.

He holds degrees in Biological Sciences and Social Ecology from UC Irvine. That mix of patient-facing context, operational ownership, and engineering shapes how we work with healthcare teams.
